I had seen on the ultimate team sub reddit, some people were struggling with the solos. I was a little surprise but you know what I thought about it some more and it kind of makes sense, I mean I cant tell you how many games I have played somebody and they kept running the same 2 plays over and over. So to the madden players with limited knowledge of football, I recommend reading the linebackers first. So for example if you see a linebacker blitz up the middle you know you got the middle open. The best routes I notice against the computer are slants, ins, post routes, and deep post routes. When you want to audible to these routes you need to make “pre- reads”.
A “pre read” is when after you pick an offensive play, you scan the defense to see what coverage are they in. An example of what defense they are in is when you motion a wide receiver to the other side of the field and the defender follows, you know its man coverage. Call your route audibles based on what you see, if its man coverage you know you need to call routes that are quick and short and get the ball out quickly. Do not forget about the safety’s, they are the second group you look at after the linebackers. Theirs really not one cheese play you can use to just beat all the solos, the better you are at reading the linebacker and safetys the easier the solos become.
I love to eat while watching football. It just automatically puts me in a better mode, so for every friday I will show you guys what I will be eating during the game. The French Toast grill ham and cheese was an easy choice, I love French Toast it’s one of my favourites for breakfast. So when I seen this recipe I had try it out. Here’s what you need
- Mozzarella cheese
- Texas toast
This coverage is a lot of slant routes, quick out routes, hitch routes when the corner is playing off and taking advantages on mismatches. Right before you snap the ball using a wide receiver and moving him into motion can help you determine if the defense is in man coverage or zone coverage. If you see a defender follow the wide receiver when you motion him you know your in man coverage, so remember to always your guys in motion if your not sure if its zone or man coverage.
Be careful with flat routes they can jump those routes very easily in man coverage so stay away from flats. I do enjoy using mismatches for example while in man coverage if you see a single high safety the wheel route to the running back is your friend, Most of the time the running back will burn the line backer on those mismatches but you have to have good pocket awareness so the play has time to develop or you will get pancaked.
Overall this defense Coverage is pretty easy to attack with quick routes to your receivers and using mismatches with your running back the man coverage can be easy to tear apart if you know what your doing.
This coverage can be tricky to play against sometimes because theirs alot of check downs and throwing into open spaces. You cant really go deep with this defense and be careful with certain out routes they can get jumped pretty easily. The flats are definitely your friends in this defense also drags can be great too. As in the video, out post with the TE are also effective in this coverage. When running the ball in this coverage dont use power use hb dive or working the inside of the O-line, that seems to be the most effective way. I had also notice that throwing the comeback routes seem to be open often. Overall be careful with deep out side routes, four verts is not very effective in this coverage with the deep routes being covered well on the outside, underneath routes are your friends in this coverage. Understand those concepts and F*#k up cover 3.

My initial thought when I heard this card was coming out was Oh man that’s going to be the most expensive card in the game because the MLB is such a huge part when playing defense at least for me . Then I though to myself I need to get that card some how. So when the milestone set drop I had over 200 + milestone items for the ultimate ticket set. So when i pulled Gronk I was so ecstatic I nearly knock over my orange juice. Gronk moves so smooth, he makes such a huge presence over the middle its hard for quarterbacks to throw over him. The pick 6 chemistry makes him deadly for defensive touchdowns which for me is huge. He can also make some hard tackles over the middle, he can definitely jar the ball loose if you need him to. He seems to have more range than BlockBuster Ryan Shazier. I personally think he is the best user MLB in the game his height and his ability to jump up is amazing when you need to make those tough interceptions. He is definitely a game changer and should help you get more Dubbs in that win column. (*The stats you see in the picture is him chemmed out)
-Can dominate over the middle with his physical presence alone. (*Biggest MLB in the game)
-Still has the ability to make huge hits to knock the ball loose.
-The pick six Chemistry always gives you a chance at scoring on defense. ( *Scoring on defense induces more rage quits)
-None (*This is a must have card)
* indicates friendly tip
